Terms and Conditions

 Mad Dog Expeditions International Inc. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TERMS.  In the terms and conditions,  “The Agency” refers to Mad Dog Expeditions International Inc. “Tour” refers to the travel arrangements listed on your invoice.  “Client” refers to the passengers on the tour.  “Suppliers” refer to any airline, hotel, dive shop, live aboard, Transportation Company, or other vendor supplying any or all of the client’s tour.  Note:  Terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.

RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT: A deposit of 25% per-person is due for all trips to reserve a travel trip, plus any additional deposit(s) required by suppliers. Any reservations may be automatically canceled if a deposit is not received within 10 days.  Final payments are due 90 days prior to departure.  A $30 per-person late payment fee will be charged if not paid 90 days prior to departure.  If you have not paid by 60 days prior to departure a $60 per-person will be charged.

CANCELLATIONS:  All cancellations must be made in writing.  Any supplier cancellation fees will be passed on to the client.   Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to departure will be subject to a minimum 15% per-person cancellation fee plus any supplier cancellation fees.  Cancellations 60 to 31 days prior to departure will be charged 30% of total booking plus supplier fees. Within 30 days before departure the charge will be 100%.

A Travel Insurance Plan is available on request and highly recommended.

 FEES: A $30 per change fee will be added for any changes made after the initial reservation.  A $30 late fee plus airline fees will be added for any reservations made with in 30 days of departure.

RESPONSIBILITY:   The Agency shall be responsible to the client for supplying the services and accommodations offered on the client’s invoice except to the extent such services and accommodations cannot be supplied due to causes beyond the control of The Agency. The client waives any claim against The Agency for any damage to or loss of property, or any injury to or death of any client during the client’s tour. The Agency shall not be responsible for any floods, fires, tropical storms or other acts of God, delays, substitution of equipment or any act or omission by any supplier, its agents, employees and the client hereby waives any claim arising there from. The right of the client is reserved to claims against suppliers. The Agency reserves the right to decline a client as a participant in a tour at any time. If any client is removed from an ongoing tour, a proportionate refund of recoverable unused services will be made. In the event a tour is canceled, The Agency shall have no responsibility beyond the refund of all deposits made to The Agency by the client. Any direct contract between a client and a supplier shall constitute the sole contract between the supplier and the client. Travel Insurance is highly suggested. Any refund, cancellation fees, advanced shipping and setup costs charged by vendors to MDE will be passed on to MDE clients prior to any refunds being issued. 

DEPOSITS:  Monies paid to MDE for trips that are canceled or rescheduled will be either refunded to the client, 60 days from trip cancellation date or applied towards a future MDE trip.

NON CHARTER / SCHEDULED AIR:In many cases, The Agency has special fares with the air carriers. These special fares, however, have several restrictions. Once airline tickets have been issued, these tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-changeable without total loss or if changed a substantial penalty. If the clients lose their tickets then new tickets will have to be purchased, a lost ticket order will be filed and a processing fee charged.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:The client’s travel documents will be shipped by a 2nd day service approximately 2 weeks prior to departure unless requested otherwise. No documents will be shipped if there is a balance due on the client’s invoice.

INSURANCE: OPTIONAL: Travel Insurance is available with the client’s tour. Travel Insurance is highly recommended.  A Travel Insurance brochure describing coverage is available upon request. MANDATORY: DAN or equivalent dive accident insurance for all MDE dive expeditions

  • Travel Insurance is contracted by an outside company.
